CNG suspended: No gas for commercial activities in Punjab
MD Sui Northern Gas Pipelines says company wants to ensure gas supply to residential areas and commercial users.

Orders have been issued to indefinitely suspend gas supply to all CNG stations industrial sector and the electricity generation plants from Monday morning.
The MD Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL), Arif Hameed, told Daily Express that the company was facing a short fall of 1100 million cubic feet which is expected to rise to 1425 million cubic feet shortly. The company wants to ensure gas supply to the residential areas and commercial users there, he added.
He said that it is already mentioned in the agreements with the commercial consumers that they will be supplied gas for nine months, while the company will be authorised to suspend gas in case of any shortfall.
