WAPDA maintain league supremacy

Wapda continue to dominate Pakistan Premier League as they defeat KESC 2-1 while PIA regains third place.

KARACHI: Wapda continued to dominate the Pakistan Premier League (PPL) as they defeated KESC 2-1 while PIA regained third place after beating Young Blood Football Club 2-0.

Wapda fell behind in the 47th minute as KESC striker Abdul Rehman scored the match’s opening goal. Wapda’s Khuda Bakhsh struck the equaliser in the 70th minute and Arif Mehmood scored the winner 10 minutes later.

Meanwhile, PIA took early lead over Young Blood FC in the 13th minute through Muhammad Istiaq and Zeeshan Ali sealed the win with PIA’s second goal in the 70th minute.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Air Force defeated Sui Southern Gas Corporation 3-2 in Peshawar and Pakistan Army drew 2-2 against Baloch Football Club 2-2.
