Inflation: SPI down 1.30% during the week
The SPI for the combined income group fell by 1.04% during the week

The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended December 5 has registered a decline of 1.30% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The SPI reading stood at 204.88 points against 207.58 recorded in the previous week, according to provisional figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for the combined income group fell by 1.04% during the week under review, standing at 212.90 points against 215.14 in the previous week. Compared to the corresponding week last year, the SPI for the combined group rose 13.54%. During the week, average prices of 11 items registered a decrease while those of 19 items recorded an increase. Prices of the remaining 23 items remained unchanged.
