With the schedule for local government elections due to be released by Dec 7, multiple local government officials in Sindh were replaced with other officers, Express News reported on Friday.
Six officers in Karachi and nine officers in other districts were replaced on Friday.
Local government elections are expected to be held on January 18 in Sindh.
The ECP reiterated on a couple of days ago that there was to be no more delay in the election date, despite repeated requests.
“We are bound to hold polls on the dates given by the Supreme Court. The schedule will be issued on December 7. There should be no reason for any further delay,” he said.
