Rivalry: Woman killed, husband injured
Three men, nominated in the FIR, attacked the couple with clubs, killing Qamar Bibi on the spot.

A woman was killed on Thursday and her husband was injured in an attack allegedly by their rivals.
Police said Qamar Bibi, a resident of Chak 27-SB, Bhagtanwala, had married Shahid Imran against his parents’ approval. On Thursday, they said, three men, nominated in the FIR, attacked the couple with clubs, killing Qamar Bibi on the spot.
Imran was taken to a hospital, where he was said to be in a critical condition. Separately, a man, identified as Muhammad Riaz, was killed by two unidentified men in Shahpur tehsil. Police said Riaz was on his way to Billarwala, when two men on a motorcycle killed him and fled. Police speculated that the man had been killed by his rivals.
