Safety first: Business community demands security

ICC Paul says government is focused on creating safe environment for promotion of business and investment activities.

A 12-member delegation of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), led by president Shaban Khalid, met Islamabad Chief Commissioner (ICC) Jawad Paul to ensure a smooth communication with local administration in an effort to strengthen the mutual liaison for achieving beneficial results.


Addressing the delegation, Paul said that the government is focused on creating a safe environment for the promotion of business and investment activities in the country. He added that the business community is playing a vital role in improving local economy and all possible measures will be taken to facilitate them.


Khalid highlighted a few concerns, which included the imposition of parking fee, that was reducing consumer interest and he suggested improving the speed of the construction work of Islamabad Dry
Port road.
