KARACHI:

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) directed the investigating officer of the Randhawa murder case to present a report on the absconding suspects in 14 days, after dismissing the provisional report submitted before the court on Tuesday.

The ATC-II judge directed the investigation officer to submit a comprehensive report about the whereabouts of the absconding suspects, Rehan, Salman and Noman, till December 17. The officer presented a report to the court on Tuesday saying that the suspects had gone underground and he needed more time to find them. Expressing his dissatisfaction over the report, the judge ordered the officer to submit a complete report by the next hearing.

Syed Kazim Abbas Rizvi, an activist of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, was arrested for the murder of Advocate Naimat Ali Randhawa, a former prosecutor at an anti-terrorism court and a leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s legal wing in Sindh.
