The company has completed a test run for the biometric system on all 37 point-of-sales machines at its franchises to ensure uninterrupted verification process and security system, said spokesperson.
Mobilink has deployed a Biometrics Verification System (BVS) for new connections. The company has rolled out biometrics verification system for the selling of SIMs at five of its customer care centers and 32 franchises in Karachi to meet the November 30 deadline given by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
Mobilink’s spokesman said that its 789 verification system will continue along with the biometric verification to ensure maximum security. He said the company has completed a test run for the biometric system on all 37 point-of-sales machines at its franchises to ensure uninterrupted verification process and security system.
He expressed satisfaction at successful completion of first phase of the project. He said the biometric SIM verification system will go long way in ensuring safety and security of the people.
