Mardan: Awareness walk
The objective of the walk was to create awareness among the public regarding AIDS, a fatal disease, said Kifayatullah.

An awareness walk was held in Mardan to mark World AIDS Day on Sunday wherein Mardan commissioner, government officials and members of the civil society participated.
The walk was led by Mardan Commissioner Kifayatullah Khan, DIG Police Saeed Wazir and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Amir Latif. A number of students from Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan also took part in the event.
Commissioner Kifayatullah while addressing the participants said the objective of the walk was to create awareness among the public regarding AIDS, a fatal disease.
“AIDS is a deadly viral disease which spreads through the use of unsterilized surgical equipment, reusing razors, sharing syringe needles and due to unsafe sex,” he said.
DC Latif also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the spirit of the people of Mardan for participating in the walk.
