Three paramilitary soldiers killed by militants in Mohmand ambush

The dead and injured were shifted to a hospital in Peshawar by helicopter.

GHALLANAI:
Three officials belonging to the para military outfit FC Swat Scouts were killed, and two others were injured when militants aligned with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) ambushed their convoy in Mohmand Agency.

Security sources who confirmed the incident, said that the officials were transporting food supplies to their post in the hilly area of Yara Khel Baizai, a sub-division of Mohmand, by foot. At about 3pm they came under attack from militants.

The attack resulted in the death of three officials, while two others were injured.


Responding to the incident, security forces shifted the dead and injured to a hospital in Peshawar through helicopter and launched a search operation in the area.

The TTP has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Last week, four official of Khasadar force were killed in IED Attack in Dawizai area of Mohmand agency. TTP Mohmand had claimed responsibility of that attack.

Meanwhile, security forces detained a suspect prayer leader in Prang area of charsadda on Friday.
