ISLAMABAD:

A three-day chrysanthemum and autumn flower show began in the capital on Friday at the picturesque Rose and Jasmine Garden.

Multiple varieties of chrysanthemum including intermediate, incurred, reflex, sprays, anemone, pompons, Korean hybrid, single floor and spidery flower were displayed in mound, stall and rainbow orders at the show. Special segments of flower arrangements and cut flowers were also included.

Miniature gardens, stand flowers and vegetable stalls are also part of the show which attracted a huge crowd on its opening day.

A variety of exotic birds, including parrots are also on display. The feathery chatterboxes, which attracted adults and children in droves with their squawks and vibrant colours, make ideal pets. The flower show will conclude on December 1.
