Busted: Gang caught selling fake BISP cards in Shangla, Kohistan

A woman and three men allegedly involved in selling fake Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) cards in Shangla and Kohistan were arrested by Bisham police on Friday.
DSP Amjad Ali Khan said the gang was involved in selling the cards in Shangla and Kohistan, and swindling money. The police caught on to them based on a tip-off. He added Bisham police station SHO Sher Hasan apprehended the suspects at a checkpoint.
The accused were identified as Fahim, Faisal Khan, Niaz Muhammad and Ashiya Bibi, all residents of Mansehra. Ninety fake BISP cards were seized from them.
During interrogation, the accused claimed they had bought 100 cards from a man in Mansehra for Rs1,000 each and then they decided to sell them in Shangla and Kohistan for Rs3,000 each. The DSP further said all 90 of the cards had been issued from a BISP office.
