Investments: China shows interest in industrial estate

Khursheed said that the M-3 was the biggest industrial estate in the country.

FAISALABAD: China is planning to invest in the energy sector at M-3 Industrial Estate, Faisalabad, head of Chinese investor delegation Wang Chunli said while meeting Khawaja Asim Khursheed, chairman of Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC), on Thursday. Wang Chunli showed a keen interest in the establishment of the M-3 Industrial Estate and appreciated the estate management, stating that it has ample opportunities for investors in the state-of-the-art industrial property. Khursheed said that the M-3 was the biggest industrial estate in the country. The estate would need 470 megawatts of electricity to run 640 industrial units. He said various projects were under progress to provide uninterrupted electricity supply to the M-3 and Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) are also being signed with various national and international firms.
