More than 7,000 Hajj pilgrims arrive in Saudi Arabia

Director Hajj says 7,200 Hajj pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia via 16 special flights.

More than 7,000 Hajj pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia from Lahore through 16 special flights.


According to Director Hajj, Qazi Samiur Rehman, the special flights began on October 12 and pilgrims have been leaving through private and government schemes. He said that out of the 16 flights, 11 were Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), four were Saudi Airlines and one flight reached the city of Medina directly.

The operation is expected to continue till November 11 and around 32,000 Hajj pilgrims are expected to leave for Saudi Arabia from Lahore.
