Shootout: Ashok Kumar, the gangster, killed
The gangster was killed during an alleged encounter with law enforcers in the outskirts of Karachi.

A notorious alleged drug peddler-cum-gangster Shaukat aka Ashok Kumar was killed along with at least two of his companions, during an alleged encounter with law enforcers in the outskirts of Karachi late on Tuesday night. Rangers’ spokesperson has confirmed the killing of three criminals in an encounter. Ashok operated from Chanesar Goth but was underground since the police started crackdown at his hideouts. Meanwhile, two more alleged gangsters belonging to Uzair Baloch group were killed in a separate late night encounter with Rangers in Lyari.
