Effective policing: Robbers’ gang busted

The Crime Investigation Agency of the Islamabad Police busted a gang of robbers involved in numerous robbery incidents and recovered two 30-bore pistols, a 32-bore revolver and ammunition from their possession, the police said on Tuesday.
Following the direction of Islamabad Inspector General of Police Sikandar Hayat to ensure arrest of criminal elements involved in robberies in areas adjacent to Sabzi Mandi and Industrial Area, the team on Tuesday succeeded to bust a gang of suspected robbers.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Bilal alias Bila, Kamran Bhatti, Bilal, Khawaja Majid and Malik Fawad.
During the preliminary investigation, they confessed their involvement in several robbery incidents in the twin cities, according to a police official. They also admitted to looting pedestrians.
