KARACHI:
Olympian Akhtar Rasool, who resigned as head coach after the national team’s failure to reach the 2014 World Cup, will return to the game’s fraternity as president of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF).
PHF’s elections for next term’s four-year tenure will be held in Islamabad on Monday. However, it has already been established that Rasool will take the top post as no individual filed papers to contest elections for the office.
Likewise, Rana Mujahid, who was appointed as the interim PHF secretary after Asif Bajwa’s resignation, is also set to retain his post after being elected unopposed.
