Gold medalist wrestlers get warm welcome
Pakistani gold medallists at the Commonwealth Games, Azhar Hussian and Muhammad Inaam return home.
Pakistan’s gold medalist wrestlers, Muhammad Inam and Azhar Hussain, were received by a huge crowd at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, on Saturday.
As soon as the second squad of Pakistani sportsmen participating in the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi came out of the airport the crowd and mediamen surrounded them and cheered them with slogans of Pakistan Zindabad.
The wrestlers told the media that they were satisfied with their performance. They said that they continue to perform well and bring good name to the country. Pakistan participated in seven sports and won five gold medals in the CWG games. Pakistan stood 17th out of the 71 countries that took part in the games.
