Performance check: 11 officials suspended for dereliction

FAISALABAD: City Police Officer (CPO) Haidar Ashraf on Thursday made surprise visits to various police stations and police posts. The CPO suspended 11 police officials for being absent from duty. A police spokesman said CPO had found SI Abdul Ghaffar and Constables Kashif and Aamir Ashraf absent from duty. He said the Rescue 15 staff, including ASI Noor Ahmad, constables Safdar Ali, Qasim, Naseer Ahmad, Atif Yaseen and Ashaar Ali, were directed to report to Police Lines after they were relieved of their duties at the rescue post. The CPO also visited Batala Colony police station and found four officials absent from the duty. They were also suspended. Constable Muhammad Manzoor and wardens Rana Zia and Farooq Mazhar were also suspended.
