Crime: Cash, gold taken in 20 robberies

Gold, cash and other valuables were taken away in 20 robberies on Wednesday night. Police said armed men stormed a mobile shop at Riaz Town. A customer, Ilyas Baig, was injured on resisting the robbers. The robbers took away cash, mobile phones and calling cards from the shop.

Elsewhere, robbers broke into Adnan Ali’s house in Asim Town and took away Rs1.2 million, gold jewellery and other valuables. Armed men also snatched motorcycles from Imran Asim in Asim Town, Abdul Hameed in Kutchery Bazaar, Amir Jamal in C-Block, Ajmal in Muhammad Nagar at Satiana Road, Muhammad Amir in Lyallpur Park, Waqas in Chak 120-JB, Muhammad Hassan at district courts premises and Shehbaz Ahmad in Millat Town. Other robbers took away cash, mobile phones and other valuables from the houses of Mubasshar Ali in Khiyaban Colony, Shehzad Ahmad in Ghulam Muhammad Colony and Aneesur Rehman at Fauji Chowk.
