Safety first: Ministry takes action against vehicles
Sindh Minister for Transport Jakhrani directs drive against public commercial vehicles with sub-standard CNG cylinders

Sindh Minister for Transport Mir Mumtaz Jakhrani has directed a drive to be initiated against public commercial vehicles with sub-standard CNG cylinders. He issued instructions to officers of the transport department during a meeting among the officials. The minister also demanded action against vehicles without permits. He assured that the provincial government will soon provide transport facility to the people, in accordance with international standards. Jakhrani stressed on the safety of the citizens, and stated that for the success of the drive support will be needed from the commissioners and regional police officers in the province. He demanded strict implementation of the transport fares that were determined by the government, and warned of fines and cancellation of permits if any of these were violated.
