Crime watch: Alleged robber killed in encounter

KARACHI: An alleged robber was killed in an encounter with the police in Metroville, SITE, on Wednesday. According to police officials, two men on a motorcycle were trying to escape after robbing pedestrians when the policemen on routine patrolling reached the site. The suspects reportedly opened fire at the law enforcers who also fired back. In the cross fire, both the robbers were wounded and arrested. They were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where one of the suspects, Sohail Azizullah, succumbed to his injuries. Azizullah was a resident of Sohrab Goth. The other suspect, Hazratullah, is a resident of Landhi.
