With the soaring prices of commodities in mind, the Punjab Govt has decided to provide some relief to the residents of Rawalpindi through two ‘Sahulat Bazaars’ and 13 ‘flour sale points’ said a PR issued here on Tuesday.

Punjab Minister for Labour and Manpower Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said the initiative has been taken to ensure the availability and provision of everyday merchandise on cheap and adequate rates and also to discourage and prevent artificial dearness.

While inspecting a Sahulat Bazaar established at Committee Chowk, the minister added that strict action would be taken against those involved in creating artificial price hike and hoarding.

He also informed that committees consisting of public representatives and district administration officials have been mobilised to keep a check on the bazaars and ensure they operate transparently.
