Ferrari feels Alonso’s frustration: Domenicali
Team Principal stresses on car development for 2014 season
KARACHI:
Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali aware of Fernando Alonso's frustration this year and insists his team is addressing the issues it has had with car development this season, according to ESPNF1.
Although Alonso secured second place in the drivers’ championship, he has only won two races while struggling for pace all year. After the Hungarian Grand Prix his frustrations appeared to come to a head and he was publically scolded by Ferrari president Luca Di Montezemolo for speaking out against the team.
Both sides have played down the ruction in recent weeks, but Domenicali acknowledged his driver was frustrated with being second best to Sebastian Vettel.
“For me it’s vital we deliver a good car for all of us, because his frustrations are our frustrations,” said Domenicali. “If you are not able to give a fast enough car to a driver who is fighting like hell, it is then very important that we focus on how we develop the car for the future.”
