Grenade attack: Check post targeted, 11 arrested

No human loss was reported, a search operation was launched during which 11 suspects were arrested.

GHALLANAI: A levies check post was partially damaged when unidentified militants hurled a hand grenade in Ghaiba Farsh, Mohmand Agency on Sunday. According to Upper Mohmand Assistant Political Agent (APA) Jamshed Khan, at midnight unidentified militants lobbed a hand grenade at the levies check post. He added the levies officials retaliated by opening fire in the general direction from where the grenade was thrown, however, the assailants had managed to escape. The APA added no human loss was reported in the incident and a search operation was launched during which 11 suspects were arrested under the collective responsibility clause of the Frontier Crimes Regulations.
