Over weekend: Capital police round up 56 bikes

The police also arrested 13 people, including an Afghan national, on suspicion of criminal activities.

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police impounded 56 motorcycles and 10 cars for not having proper license and registration documents this past weekend, according to a police spokesperson. The bikes and cars were impounded during general round-up in different parts of the city. The police also removed tinted glass from the windows of 11 cars on Sunday and 19 cars on Saturday. Cars are not allowed to have tinted windows in the federal capital without a permit. The drivers of the cars with tinted windows were also issued fines. According to the police, 36 motorcycles and seven cars were impounded on Sunday while 20 motorcycles and three cars were seized on Saturday. The police officials have been directed to take strict action against vehicles being driven without documents. The police also arrested 13 people, including an Afghan national, on suspicion of criminal activities.
