MQM expands Rabita Committee, inducts 3 more members
Farooq Sattar, Rasheed Godil and Saif Yar Khan appointed as committee members.
KARACHI:
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Saturday announced that the party was expanding its Karachi based Rabita (Coordination) Committee to include MNA Farooq Sattar, Abdul Rasheed Godil and Saif Yar Khan, Express News reported.
Babar Ghauri and Aadil Siddiqi will assist the committee.
The decision was announced after a three-hour long meeting conducted on Saturday to discuss various party issues.
This will be Farooq Sattar's second term in the Committee.
The last time Committee members were shuffled was in May this year, when Altaf Hussain announced a major overhaul with 23 new people joining the team.
At that time, the decision to carry out reshuffling in the political party comes in the wake of complaints and e-mails that were sent to Altaf on inefficiencies reported on the part of MQM’s party workers.
