Poor results: 64 school teachers issued notice

Spokesman tells media that report containing school names and names of their heads were sent to secretary education.

FAISALABAD: Education Executive District Officer (EDO) Shahida Sohail on Wednesday issued show cause notices to 64 teachers over poor results of grade nine students in the district. An Education Department spokesman told the media that a report containing the school names and the names of their heads had been sent to the secretary education. “The teachers who have been issued show cause notices are to submit their replies at the earliest...a hearing would be held on November 19,” he said. The spokesman said the teachers had been teaching English, general science, physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics in various schools.
