Loralai tragedy: Three workers die in coalmine accident
Each year, 50 coalminers on an average die in accidents due to lack of safety measures.

Three coalminers died on Tuesday when a trolley loaded with coal fell upon them as they were working inside the coalmine in Duki tehsil of Loralai district, 260 kilometres north of Quetta. According to a local Levies official in Loralai, the coalminers received multiple wounds and succumbed to their injuries before their arrival at hospital. “The miners pushing up the coal trolley lost control and the trolley came down upon three miners, injuring them severely. They succumbed to their injuries after some time,” the official said. Each year, 50 coalminers on an average die in accidents due to lack of safety measures.
