HAFIZABAD: An 18-year-old was attacked by an influential landlord’s dog in Hafizabad’s Changlanwala village. Qasim, the boy, was taken to tehsil headquarters hospital, where he was reported to be in critical condition. Police said two people- Chaudhry Abdul Jabbar and Chaudhry Abid- were arrested and cases registered against them. Police said initial investigation had revealed that the suspects had kidnapped a fifth class students a few months ago. They said Qasim’s father was a witness in the case registered against the suspects. They said on Tuesday the men called Qasim to their dera and beat him up. They then set dogs to attack him. They left after the boy fainted. Some passers-by who had heard him shout for help took him to the hospital and informed his family. Police said the nominated suspects had denied the allegation.
