LAHORE:

A man and a woman were found dead at a nursery near Sahadewal Chowk in the Sattukatla area on Tuesday.

Police said nursery workers discovered the bodies in the morning. Investigation Officer Sadaqat said the bruises on the bodies suggested that the deceased had been strangled. Their appearance suggested that they were poor, he said. They might have been murdered over honour or due to an old enmity, he said.Sadaqat said the woman was probably around 25-years-old and the man, 30-years-old. The bodies have been taken to a morgue and police are trying to establish their identities. A crowd gathered at the nursery and traffic at the Johar Town Road was blocked for two hours. Announcements regarding the murders were made at a mosque. Zulfiqar, a washer man, told police the man looked like one of his clients. An FIR has been registered against unidentified suspects.
