Addressing issues: Goods transporters end strike
The governor assured them that they will be paid compensation as soon as possible.
KARACHI:
The representatives of the United Goods Transporters Alliance have decided to end their six-day-long strike after meeting Sindh governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan on Tuesday. The governor assured them that they will be paid compensation as soon as possible after consulting the federal government. Earlier, the transporters’ demands were discussed at a meeting chaired by the governor. The commissioner briefed the meeting about the progress on the issues of goods transporters.
