TTP's Qari Hussain kiled in drone attack: Reports

According to initial media reports, senior Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) leader Qari Hussain Mehsud has been killed in a drone strike on Friday.

Hussain was known to be a mentor and trainer of  suicide bombers.

On September 3,  he had threatened to launch attacks in the United States and Europe "very soon".

His spokesman had also taken credit for the bombings in Lahore that killed 33 people in Lahore in September.

A Suhail | 14 years ago | Reply Muslim opposing drone attacks??? I have not noticed any Muslims coming out on the streets of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt etc opposing drones attacks in Pakistan. Can you show me any muslim country where people are opposing drone attacks in Pakistan. Actually most of these countries are happy that all their citizens who might come back to their country to kill and maim are getting killed in Pakistan. Which brings us to the point do all these people ahve visas to stay here? If US is violating our sovereignty so are all these yahoos from central asia, middle east and europe. They are killing Pakistani citizens using suicide attacks and please do not blame them on black water as is the case with you. All these terrorists are filling up their bank accounts by takig money from arabs at the cost of ordinary Pakistani's. Does Haqqani group has a right to be in Pakistan. How can we say no to american when all yahoos from across the world are coming to our shores to get training. Muslim world dont care about drone attacks in Pakistan and Pakistan and muslim are not same. These drone attacks will keep on coming as no one gives a damn who and how many dies and they will stop until we Pakistani's stop these terrorists form using our soil.
mehsud | 14 years ago | Reply only patriotic Pakistani and Muslims were opposing drone attacks in the tribal belt. Drone attacks means violation of sovereignty of Pakistan which is not valid in any case. our leaders were addicted to bow before the foreigners and it seems that lack of leadership is prevailing because our politicians were busy in expanding their businesses and bank accounts and do not think about the future of the country creation of which was achieved with the struggle and blood of our forefathers. politicians were betraying blood of their forefathers by bowing in front of US instead of the creator of the universe.
