A division bench of Balochistan High Court on Monday expressed concern over delay in recovery of Awami National Party Balochistan’s former president Arbab Kasi and directed law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) to ensure his recovery at the earliest.

The court ordered the LEAs to take stringent action against elements involved in kidnapping incidents and disturbing peace in the province. He assured the bench that the police was making earnest efforts to ensure safe release of the ANP leader, and investigations were going on satisfactorily.

The CCPO prayed before the court to grant him more time to resolve the case. But the bench observed that the provincial capital was a small city where maintaining law and order should not have been such a big issue.

The court directed the police and FC to take effective measures against criminals involved in kidnapping and other anti-social activities.
