LAHORE:

The PML-N policies amount to an “economic murder” of labourers, farmers and salaried professionals, said PTI Punjab President Ejaz Chaudhry on Monday.

The PML-N governments in the Punjab and Centre needed to take steps to improve the country’s economy, he said, but instead they had introduced “anti-people” policies which had made it harder for citizens to lead dignified lives.

In a statement, Chaudhry said that the government must take immediate steps to give farmers relief in their electricity, diesel and pesticide bills, as the agriculture sector was “on the verge of collapse”.

He added that the PTI would be very well prepared for the upcoming local government elections and would achieve “remarkable results” in the polls.

Meanwhile, Insaf Students Federation (ISF) Lahore President Rana Faheem Ahmed said in a statement that US drone attacks were against Pakistan’s sovereignty.
