Threat averted: Two remote-controlled bombs defused
The bombs had been planted on Mir Ali-Miranshah Road in North Waziristan Agency.

Security forces defused two remote-controlled bombs planted on Mir Ali-Miranshah Road in North Waziristan Agency on Monday. The law and order situation remained tense after the bombs were found, and a curfew was imposed in the agency after 6am for an indefinite period of time. All educational institutes and business activities also remained shut. A large number of people returning from a congregation in Raiwind were stranded in Bannu due to the curfew.
