Court statement: Kidnapped girl says she was tricked
The police traced her location by interrogating Zahoorul Hassan and one Tayyab Shah.
LAHORE:
A judicial magistrate allowed a girl to return to her family on Friday after recording her statement. She told the court that she had become friends with Zahoorul Hassan after talking to him over the phone. She said he had told her he was a pilot. She said he had kidnapped her on October 25 and later taken to Bhakhar. The police traced her location by interrogating Zahoorul Hassan and one Tayyab Shah. They raided a house in Bhakkar. Three officials, Sub Inspector Iftikhar Hussain, Head Constable Shafqat Mehmood and Constable Faisal Shakoor, were injured in the raid, when the inmates opened fire at the police team. They then fled.
