MANILA:
Dr Ishrat Husain, Dean and Director of the Institute of Business Administration and former governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, attended and delivered a keynote address at the “Conference on Islamic Finance for Asia: Development, Prospects and Inclusive Growth”, held in Manila, the Philippines.
The conference was jointly organised by the Islamic Financial Services Board and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on November 4 and 5, says a press release.
This was the first Islamic finance conference hosted by the ADB at its headquarters. Other prominent speakers were Jaseem Ahmed, Secretary General of the Islamic Financial Services Board and Takehiko Nakao, President of the Asian Development Bank.
