Remote-controlled device: IED blast injures DSP in Swabi
Police launched a search operation in the area, however, no arrests were made till this report was filed.

An improvised explosive device (IED) planted by unidentified militants went off near a police van on Jehangira-Swabi Road, injuring Swabi DSP on Friday evening. According to a police official, the incident occurred at around 8pm when DSP Zain Khan Jadoon was patrolling the road. He added a remote-controlled IED planted by the roadside near Bilal Masjid outside Swabi Bazaar exploded, damaging the vehicle and injuring Jadoon. After the incident, heavy contingents of police rushed to the site and cordoned off the area. The injured DSP was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital where he was said to be in stable condition.
