LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Wednesday sought a reply from the Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) director general to a petition moved by 203 recently-sacked traffic wardens. Justice Shamim Khan also directed the ACE DG to submit the findings of an inquiry into charges that the wardens had submitted fake education documents and for various wrongdoings in service.  The petitioners submitted that their cases had been sent to the ACE, but they had been sacked by the chief traffic officer before an inquiry was conducted. They said that this was illegal and asked the court to restore them. The court adjourned the hearing till November 25. Petitions filed by 63 other sacked traffic wardens are pending before the court of Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi.
