Accidents: Worker killed in building fall
Rescue 1122 officials say the deceased was working on the third floor of the building when he fell.
KHANPUR:
A man was killed on Wednesday after falling from a building in Khanpur. Rescue 1122 officials said the deceased, 25-year-old Muhammad Aamir, was working on the third floor of the building when he fell. They said he was taken to tehsil headquarters hospital in Liaqatpur where he succumbed to his injuries. His employer, Chaudhry Ilyas of Al Makkah Traders, said Aamir was epileptic and had suffered from a fit before he fell. In a separate incident, a man was killed when he was hit by a train. Police said the deceased, Muhammad Akram, 55, was crossing a railway line near Chak Abbasia when the train hit him. Akram died on the spot, police said.
