The board of governors of the Sindh Teachers Education Development Authority (Steda) has agreed to appoint Sindh Text Book Board chairperson Rafiq Ahmed Buriro as the acting executive director of authority till a permanent appointment.
They have also decided to constitute finance, budget and human resource committees for the board. A meeting of the board of governors was held with Sindh minister for education and literacy Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Wednesday.
The board also decided the permanent executive director of Steda board will be appointed through advertisements. According to the Steda Act passed by Sindh Assembly, the executive director shall be appointed for a period of four years and shall be eligible for reappointment for another term of four years. Khuhro said that Steda will play its role for training, educational development and enhancement of the professional capacities of teachers.
