RAWALPINDI:

Two people were killed on Tuesday and two others critically injured during an armed clash in Losar Sharfu in Wah Cantt.

The deceased, a father and a son, were identified as Waheed Sultan and Anees Sultan and the injured as Naveed Sultan and Malik Hashim, a passerby.

Investigation Officer Sub-Inspector Muhammad Sharif Niazi said an armed clash occurred between Anees Sultan and Naveed Sadiq after their motorcycles faced each other while passing through a narrow street.

“Both of them were coming from the opposite direction when their bikes collided, which led to a clash,” said Niazi. He added that Sadiq beat up Anees after their accident, who called his father and brother to his aid. In the meanwhile, Naveed pulled out a pistol and opened fire, killing the senior Sultan on the spot and injuring brothers and the passerby.

The injured were brought to the District Headquarters Hospital where doctors pronounced Anees dead. The bodies were handed over to their families after doctors performed an autopsy. The condition of the injured was stated to be critical.
