KARACHI:
The Sindh High Court (SHC) reserved its order on a petition challenging the election tribunal’s order to verify the thumb impressions of voters in PS-128.
The seat was won by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Waqar Hussain.
Hussain had challenged the order to verify the thumb impressions through the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) after his rival candidate, Sultan Khan Johri of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, challenged the election results.
Hussain claimed that the tribunal passed the verdict in violation of the laws. On Tuesday, the bench headed by Justice Faisal Arab reserved its verdict on the petition.
