Absence from duty: Elementary teachers sacked, fined
The elementary office district education officer passed decisions on 23 notices issued in May.
BAHAWALPUR:
Show-cause notices issued to primary school teachers between May and August have been decided, monitoring reports state. Nisar Mustafa of Government Primary School Chak 73/P was terminated for being absent from duty in August. Shahjahan Ahmad of Government Primary School Basti Miani, Ammara Irum of Government Primary School Wahid Baksh Mehar, Sikandar Hayat of Government Primary School Iqbal Nagar and Farzana Ismail of Government Primary School Muhammad Arain were pardoned. 20 teachers were also fined Rs1,000 to Rs1,500. The elementary office district education officer passed decisions on 23 notices issued in May. A teacher was terminated for absence in May, 19 were punished and three were pardoned. Rabia Manzoor of Government Boys School Chak 1/P Jatta Bhatta Khanpur was terminated. Nineteen teachers were fined and given leave without pay.
