Goodwill: UAE to fund 21 development projects

The plans include water treatment plants and educational institutions.

UAE Project to Assist Pakistan (PAP) has announced the start of 21 new development projects in the country at the cost of $184.2 million. According to a statement from PAP Director Abdullah Khalifa Al Ghafli, the projects represent the beginning of the second phase of the plan under the directives of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The plans include water treatment plants and educational institutions. He went on to say PAP has also started work on seven educational institutes at a total cost of $14.4 million. The water treatment plants to provide safe drinking water to 12 remote villages will be built at a cost of $1.2 million.
