Healthy activities: Police chief promises jobs to Lyari footballers

KARACHI:
The city’s police chief, Shahid Hayat Khan, has announced to provide jobs against sports quota for 14 football players from Lyari in the city police force.
The recruitment will be subject to required trials. Addressing the prize distribution ceremony in the second semi-final match of the Inter-Mohallah Lyari Football Tournament, he stressed the need for youth to participate in healthy recreational activities.
The tournament was organised by the commissioner’s office, in collaboration with the National Bank of Pakistan. Matches were held at the Lyari Football Ground. Hayat later handed over a cash prize of Rs50,000 to the Chakiwara Eleven, winners of the second semi-final of the tournament.
