Deadly virus: Dengue death toll rises to 23
At least one more person died in Karachi due to the virus.
KARACHI:
The death toll on account of the dengue virus keeps rising as authorities seem to be in a fix over control of the deadly disease. At least one more person died in Karachi due to the virus, taking the total death to 23 in the province. The 23rd death was reported of a male patient, 23, a resident of Gulshan-e-Iqbal. He died on Sunday. Despite all the measures, the total number of patients in Sindh has reached 3,900 so far this year, including 3,366 reported in Karachi only. According to the Sindh Dengue Surveillance Cell, two deaths have been reported in Hyderabad city while 21 in Karachi.
