Inflation: Index up 0.61% during week
SPI for combined groups was up by 0.47%.

The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI) for the week ended October 31 has registered an increase of 0.61% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The Sensitive Price Indicator for the week under review for the above mentioned group was recorded at 202.61 points against 201.38 points registered in the previous week, according to provisional figures from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for combined groups was up by 0.47%; up/down from 209.79 points in the previous week to 210.78 points this week. Compared to the corresponding week last year, the SPI for combined groups inflated 12.37%. During the week under review, average prices of indexed items changed as follows: 7 items registered a decrease, 13 items increased and the remaining 33 items’ prices remained unchanged.
