President’s Trophy: SBP stand strong after Arshad’s double ton against KRL
PQA’s Sohaib stars on first-class debut with first-ball wicket.

Usman Arshad scored a double ton to put SBP in a strong position against KRL in their President’s Trophy match at the KRL Stadium.
SBP resumed day two of the second round on 263 for five and were bowled out for 420. Arshad starred with 202 off 297 balls, hitting two sixes and 26 boundaries, while Tabish Khan chipped in with 57. Sadaf Hussain claimed three wickets.
At the end of play, KRL compiled 140 for two in 41 overs as Shoaib Minhas scored a 99-ball 68 with 13 boundaries.
In another match, PIA were 279 for six in 78 overs against HBL at the Marghazar Ground in Islamabad after day one was washed out due to rain.
Fahad Iqbal scored 52 while Anoop Ravi was undefeated on 44. Ehsan Adil bagged three wickets.
Reigning champions SNGPL were bowled out cheaply for 80 as ZTBL claimed an impressive 130-run lead at the National Ground in Islamabad.
Replying to ZTBL’s 210, SNGPL were bundled out for 80 in just 29.5 overs as Usman Shinwari claimed four wickets while Imran Khan and Zohaib Khan chipped in with three scalps apiece.
Elsewhere, the Wapda-UBL match was evenly poised as Wapda had scored 174 for four but still trailed by 135 runs at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
Ayub Doggar scored a half century while off-spinner Atif Maqbool took three wickets.
Meanwhile, Zeeshan Mushtaq scored a gutsy century on a double-paced pitch as PTV closed in on the first-inning lead against PQA ending the day on 301 for seven in 68 overs here at the Gaddafi Stadium.
PTV now trail by just 15 runs as Mushtaq hit a solid 105 off 183 while Yasim Murtaza was unbeaten on 68. Mohammad Sami and Mohammad Talha claimed two wickets apiece.

PQA’s left-arm spinner Sohaib Khan created history by claiming a wicket on the first ball of his first-class career on debut.
The 24-year-old dismissed Nawaz Ahmed in the 13th over of the innings as PTV finished the day on 301 for seven.
PCB revises domestic schedule
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revised the schedule of the President’s Trophy in order to accommodate the Departmental T20 Tournament that will be played in the last week of November.
Initially, it was planned that there will be a gap of three weeks after the third round of President’s Trophy but the now the fourth round will be played without a break.
“The departmental T20 event will be played from November 27-December 3,” a PCB official told The Express Tribune.
“The fourth round of President’s Trophy will take place from November 17-20 while the one-day match will be played on November 22.”
